PRISTINA, May 22 (Hina) - The first and long expected negotiations
between representatives of Kosovo Albanians and Yugoslav
authorities began at the Democratic Union of Kosovo's headquarters
in Pristina on Friday, with a three hour delay.
The talks are to focus on the solving of the crisis in Kosovo.
The six-member delegation of Kosovo Albanians is headed by academic
Fehmi Agani, and the Yugoslav delegation by Serbian vice-premier
Ratko Markovic.
While the talks are in progress, the Kosovo Information Centre
reports that the situation in Kosovo is still tense.
A body of an unidentified person was found at Dulje, about 55km
south of Pristina, Friday morning, the Centre said.
The same source reported Friday that local Serbs on Friday began
setting fire to houses Albanians have fled from in the village of
Grabanice near Klina, where Serb forces attacked Albanians for the
past several days.
The Kosovo Information Centre also reported that Serb forces
launched a cannon attack at about 11.30 hours Friday on the village
of Lausa, near Srbica.
US Ambassador to Macedonia, Christopher Hill, is at the Democratic
Union of Kosovo's headquarters in Pristina, but is not
participating in the negotiations.
