CONDITIONS STILL NOT SECURED FOR RETURN OF CROATS TO BUGOJNO

( Editorial: --> 5400 ) BUGOJNO, May 20 (Hina) - The Prefect and Vice-Prefect of the Central Bosnia Canton, Adnan Terzic and Ivan Saric, on Wednesday visited Bugojno where they had talks with municipal leaders. More than 2,500 families, mainly Croats, have so far registered to return to their houses on that territory, it was stated in the discussions. According to Saric, since his "(...) last visit to Bugojno in March this year nothing has changed. Head of the Bugojno Municipality Dzevad Mlaco has not secured conditions for the return to Bugojno of Croat officials nor councillors, police, party or municipal leaders". He added that "this will not prevent Bugojno Croats from returning to their homes or to their municipality". A representative of the High Representative's office in Bosnia- Herzegovina, Mina Jarvenppa, who was present at today's meeting in Bugojno, insisted on the conclusion of the Federation Forum of 16 April this year, by which the return of municipal officials to Bugojno should be secured first, as well as their pre-war residential conditions (family houses and flats with tenancy rights).
