RIJEKA, May 18 (Hina) - Croatia is a interesting economic partner to
Austria, which is testified by the presence of some Austrian banks
in Croatia, and it is of particular interest to Austrians as a
tourist destination, said Austrian Ambassador Rudolf Bogner during
his visit with Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Prefect Milivoj
Brozina.
Bogner announced that about 500,000 Austrians will holiday on the
Croatian Adriatic coast this summer.
Bogner asserted that among the basic advantages of good cooperation
between Austria and Croatia by all means historical ties should
counted, stating that Rijeka was for many years Austria's exit to
the south.
Brozina said that Austria's support for Croatia's integration in
the central European traffic system is extraordinarily important
and Vice-Prefect Luka Denona advocated the entry of the Austrian
capital in Rijeka's free zone.
