PRISTINA, May 13 (Hina) - Ten Kosovo Albanians were killed and nine
wounded in Tuesday night's attacks by Serbian forces on the
villages of Doroshevac and Smolica, near the Albanian border, the
Kosovo Democratic Union said on Wednesday.
The pro-Yugoslav government Media Centre in Pristina reported at
least ten residents of the Smolica village had been killed and
several wounded late Tuesday night because of their inexpert
handling of a shoulder-launched rocket. The Serbian sources claim
that large groups of armed Albanians are in Smolica.
Sources in Kosovo (Yugoslav province) reported that Serbian forces
on Wednesday continued their attack on the village of Babaloc, near
Decani, and some villages in the Klin municipality (around 50
kilometres west of Pristina).
The Media Centre reported that a Serbian police officer had been
heavily injured during an attack on a police patrol in the village
of Dolac, Klin municipality.
