EXPLOSIONS AND SHOTS RESOUND ON YUGOSLAV-ALBANIAN BORDER

( Editorial: --> 1174 ) PRISTINA, May 3 (Hina) - Strong explosions and shots from heavy weaponry resounded near the borderline between FR Yugoslavia and Albania Sunday morning, and Serb helicopters have been circling the area, the Kosovo Democratic Union said. Local sources of the Human Rights Committee in Decani (Kosovo) and Local Kosovo Albanian sources from Djakovica both confirmed continued movements of the Serb military and police in the region. Shots can be heard from the villages of Reka and Kece, but there is no information on the consequences, Kosovo Democratic Union spokesman Besa Arlati said. Almost four Albanians, two of them women, have been killed and five wounded in their houses in the Drenica area during the past several days. Serb forces have been stationed there for almost two months Serb forces attacked villages in the Srbica municipality Saturday night.
