MOSTAR, April 27 (Hina) - Mostar's mayor Safet Orucevic received a
letter today from the King of Spain Juan Carlos stating the
readiness of the Spanish government to participate "in the
international project for the Stari Most (Old Bridge)
reconstruction", informs Orucevic's office.
The Spanish king says in his letter that the reconstruction of
Mostar's Old Bridge should "symbolise the spirit of peace and
reconciliation".
The Old Bridge was destroyed in the conflict between Croats and
Muslims in 1993.
