BERN, Mar 27 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic will
hold talks with his Swiss counterpart Flavio Cotti in Bern Friday.
The talks will focus on bilateral relations, improvement of
economic cooperation and the situation in eastern Croatia.
Granic arrived in Bern Thursday.
To date Croatia and Switzerland have signed ten bilateral
agreements, including agreements on the stimulation and protection
of investments, on air and road transport, on the revocation of
visas, and on social insurance.
Currently negotiations are in course for agreements on trade and
cooperation, and on avoiding double taxation.
As regards economic cooperation, the 1997 commodity exchange
between Croatia and Switzerland amounted to CHF208.4 million, of
which CHF175.5 million was generated by import to Croatia, while
CHF32.9 million by export to Switzerland.
The presence of Swiss investors on the Croatian market is on the
increase.
