BOSNIAKS RETURN TO STOLAC

( Editorial: --> 2580 ) MOSTAR, Mar 26 (Hina)- A group of about 50 Bosniaks on Wednesday returned to the village of Borojevici near Stolac, a town in southern Bosnia-Herzegovina under Croat control. The Bosniaks, who came home after an absence of four and a half years, did not encounter any problems, said head of the Stolac municipality Centre for Communal Services and Refugees Tahir Djulic, who had been appointed to his post in accordance with the results of last year's municipal elections. That group of Bosniaks, explained Djulic, immediately sorted out a few rooms in the village for housing purposes. Over the next few days the Bosniaks will repair damaged houses and clear the terrain in preparation for the return of their families. Djulic announced the return of about 40 Bosniaks to Stolac on 28 March, and about 35 to the nearby villages of Barane and Josanica. The latter group are house owners. The aforementioned returns will take place as part of a return programme which was endorsed last week by the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, stressed Djulic.
