VUKOVAR, March 19 (Hina) - Officials of the Regional Office for
Refugees visited 1,501 addresses in the town of Vukovar which are
the registered residences of displaced persons.
The officials found that in more than a half of these cases (830),
the displaced people who were registered there did not in fact live
at the address given.
Out of 671 displaced families, 390 wished to return to other parts
of Croatia, 37 wished to sell their property and 206 wished to stay
in the Danubian area. Thirty-eight families remain undecided.
The re-registration of displaced people should be completed by the
end of March.
