PREMIER MATESA MEETS DELEGATION OF CROAT DISPLACED

( Editorial: --> 0666 ) ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa and Reconstruction and Development Minister Jure Radic on Wednesday met with a delegation of Croatian displaced people, with whom they discussed problems concerning the return to their homes. The purpose of the meeting was to make an inventory of what had been done and what should be done, said Matesa after the meeting. Issues discussed were the reconstruction of flats and houses, deadlines, loan-granting arrangements, economy, agriculture and the status of Croat refugees from Republika Srpska or other areas of Bosnia-Herzegovina, he said. "I regret to say that the international community is showing almost no interest in the return of our people, of whom a large number are still accommodated in hotels and private houses, or in the rights of those Croats who came to Croatia as refugees from Bosnia- Herzegovina, mostly from Republika Srpska," said Matesa. "I would like the leadership of the OSCE Mission and other international factors to pay some attention to that group of people as well," he added. Cases of intimidation and creation of insecurity among those people were presented at the meeting, said Matesa adding that the government would do all it can to protect them and secure their future in Croatia.
