ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - The Mission of the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Croatia on Friday
welcomed the Croatian Government's announcement to annul the Law on
Temporary Take-Over and Management of Certain Property and the Law
on the Renting of Flats.
Both laws contain regulations whose effects have a discriminating
character, OSCE said in a statement.
In the context of legal consultations with the international
community, the Croatian Government informed the OSCE Mission on 10
March about the legal steps it intended to take in order to solve
immediate consequences of the laws' annulment.
On 11 March, the Mission advised the Croatian Government to
postpone the adoption of an adequate decision, which was to happen
on 12 March, so that space for a comprehensive discussion could be
secured.
The positive reaction of the Government to this proposal reaffirms
the spirit of constructive cooperation between the Croatian
Government and the international community, said the OSCE
statement.
