PRISTINA, March 13 (Hina) - More than 100,000 Albanians responded
to a call by Albanian students of Pristina University and gathered
on Friday for a protest against violence, war and Serbian terror.
The protest, which started at 3.00pm, was peaceful and without
incident.
Only traffic police were present at the site of the protest.
Demonstrators carried Albanian national flags, the EU flag, the
flags of some Contact Group member-countries and Turkey's flag.
They also carried placards saying "We want NATO's help", "Freedom,
Independence for Kosovo", "Stop Violence", "Drenica, Drenica",
"Stop Serbian Terror" and shouted "We are not terrorists", "Rugova,
Rugova", "Life we give, Kosovo we don't" and 'Peace and freedom in
Kosovo'.
