CRO FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES SLOVENIAN PARLIAMENT REPS

( Editorial: --> 8615 ) ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Tuesday received a delegation of the Slovene Parliament's International Relations Committee headed by chairman Jelko Kacin. The talks focused on the relations between the two states and open issues as consequences of the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia. Granic stressed the need to accelerate negotiations pertaining to certain issues such as the debt of the Zagreb branch of the Ljubljana Bank, the Krsko nuclear power plant and the Agreement on Property and Legal Issues. An expert and diplomatic commission is successfully working on a solution to the land border issue and a number of contentious issues have been solved. Certain questions needed to be solved by a joint diplomatic border commission. Granic said that negotiations about borders in the Piran Bay should be continued, stressing that "arbitration was a civilised method which could be used by the two friendly countries".
