ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - The House of Representatives on Friday took
a vote on some twenty items the members had discussed over the past
two weeks.
The House adopted a bill on the National Employment Policy and
approved the Government's Report on the implementation of the
welfare policy in the past year.
The adopted version of the National Employment Policy puts an
obligation on the Government to draw up and implement a package of
incentives for job creation in the course of this year. The package
is to encourage small companies to hire trainees on fixed-term
contracts.
Another addendum to the document included seven Conclusions
proposed by the parliamentary committee for Homeland War veterans,
which will promote the employment of demobilised soldiers,
especially in agriculture and on mine clearing jobs.
The House also adopted a Road Traffic Act as well as Amendments to
the Law on Foreign Currency Transactions and Bullion Trade. The
latter introduces an obligation for all domestic and foreign
persons, legal and natural, to declare to Customs the possession of
a sum exceeding US$6,350 when entering the country.
