SARAJEVO, Feb 27 (Hina) - Investigators from the International
Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) have arrived in
Banja Luka, on instruction by the ICTY Head Prosecutor Louise
Arbour, to collect information about inquests and trials in
progress, said UN spokesman Aleksander Ivanko in Sarajevo on
Friday.
According to Ivanko, the procedure is being conducted with full
cooperation by the local authorities of the Bosnian Serb entity and
with the support of the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) and
International Police Task Force (IPTF).
According to the Office of the Head Prosecutor, this process is not
tied with capturing suspected war criminals, said Ivanko.
