ZAGREB, Feb 22 (Hina) - The fourth Convention of the ruling Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) on Sunday elected seven party vice-
presidents, based on HDZ president Franjo Tudjman's proposal.
Convention delegates in a secret ballot chose Gojko Susak (1235
votes), Ivic Pasalic (1156) and Mate Granic (1087), who were re-
elected to those positions, and Ljerka Mintas-Hodak (1054), Jure
Radic (1042), Andrija Hebrang (1033) and Ivan Aralica (1024).
Entering the party's Presidency, because of their official
functions, were Vlatko Pavletic, Zlatko Matesa, Hrvoje Sarinic,
Vladimir Seks, Zlatko Canjuga and Mario Kapulica.
The HDZ Convention on Sunday also selected 80 members of the
National Committee and 140 members of the Main Committee.
Based on Tudjman's proposal, elected as vice-presidents of the HDZ
National Committee were Vladimir Seks (113 votes), Zvonimir
Cervenko (105), Ivan Milas (104), Ivan Jarnjak (100), Bozo Biskupic
(100), Zarko Domljan (99) and Jadranka Kosor (98).
Elected as vice-presidents of the HDZ's Main Committee were Ivan
Lackovic-Croata (183), Janko Bobetko (178), Franjo Greguric (171),
Nikica Valentic (169), Nedjeljko Mihanovic (167), Janko Vranitzany
Dobrinovic (160) and Katica Ivanisevic (159).
Vice-presidents of the Main and National Committees form councils
of those party bodies. These councils together with the party
Presidency form the HDZ National Council.
