EU TO FIX BRIDGE BETWEEN SLAVONSKI SAMAC AND BOSANSKI SAMAC

( Editorial: --> 3227 ) SARAJEVO, Feb 19 (Hina) - The European Union will finance the repair of a bridge between Slavonski Samac and Bosanski Samac, one of the most important road connections between Croatia and Bosnia- Herzegovina. The European union had granted DM20 million for the repair of the bridge, and the works are expected to begin soon, the European Union Office in Sarajevo said in a statement on Thursday. Over 70 per cent of the bridge between Slavonski Samac and Bosanski Samac was damaged during the war, and the NATO partially repaired it during its mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina. However, the old construction is now going to be removed and a new bridge built. A special delegation of the European Union will visit the bridge on Friday, the EU Office said.
