ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian President's Chief-of-Staff on
Friday received a special EU envoy to Croatia, Per Vinther, the
President's Office said in a statement.
The participants positively described the situation in the
Croatian Danube river region after the departure of UNTAES, and
regarding the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina they expressed
determination for the Washington and Dayton agreements be
implemented consistently.
"Sarinic reiterated that after the successful completion of the
peaceful reintegration process, Croatia is oriented towards the
establishment of firmer relations with the European Union, which
was especially stressed in the Report on the state of the Croatian
nation by Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, and that Croatia
expects concrete steps in that direction from the Eu member
countries and European Commission,".
"Participating in the talks was also the President's advisor for
foreign policy Neven Madey," the statement said.
