STRASBOURG, 27 Jan (Hina) - The Deputy Premier of the Croatian
Government Ljerka Mintas-Hodak on Tuesday visited the European
Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg where she met with the Court's
Vice-President Rudolf Bernhardt.
We mainly talked about the work of the future court which will start
operating in November this year and the issues expected to come
before the court most often, Mintas-Hodak said after the meeting.
This unique European Court for Human Rights should start working on
1 November 1998 and will replace the European Court and European
Commission for Human Rights which operated up until now.
The Croatian Government's Deputy Premier said that the Vice-
President of the Court has invited a group of Croatian judges to
visit.
