PRISTINA, Jan 25 (Hina) - Albanian sources in Kosovo (Yugoslavia)
said on Sunday that the Serbian police had intervened in a rough
manner in a Kosovo town 45 km southwest of Pristina on Saturday
night.
In a conflict with the local residents, at least two Serbian
officers were wounded in unclarified circumstances.
Five Albanians were arrested and several were abused, said the same
source.
The Serbian police had intervened, the sources said, under the
excuse that one police patrol had been assaulted. The Ablanians
answered provocations from the police officers with weapons.
The Serbian Interior Ministry's Information Service said in a
statement on Sunday that a terrorist attack had been carried out
against a police patrol from Orahovac in Malishevo on Saturday
night.
The patrol had been assaulted with firearms and two persons in the
patrol were injured.
A rocket was launched at a building of the Interior Ministry in the
Klina municipality around 20.40 hours Saturday.
Police were looking for the perpetrators of these terrorist
attacks, the Ministry statement said.
