ARCHBISHOP JOSIP UHAC BURIED IN BRSEC

( Editorial: --> 6519 ) BRSEC, 22 Jan (Hina) - Archbishop Msgr. Josip Uhac, secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, who died last weekend, was buried at the St George parish church in his birthplace of Brsec on Thursday. A memorial service was conducted by Archbishop Msgr. Anton Tamarut. "Archbishop Uhac saw life as God's gift and wanted to serve God devotedly and wholly, proclaiming God throughout the world in his diplomatic service with the Holy See," Tamarut said. Retired under-secretary with the Congregation for Clergy, Msgr Milan Simcic stressed that Archbishop Uhac had used all of his strength in advocating freedom and independence for the Croat people in the most difficult war years.
