SARAJEVO CATHOLIC BISHOPS CALL ON DISPLACED PERSONS TO RETURN

SARAJEVO, Dec 23 (Hina) - The Archbishop of Sarajevo, cardinal Vinko Puljic, and assistant bishop Pero Sudar on Thursday released a Christmas message to Bosnia's Catholic faithful calling on them to forgive and reconcile in order to celebrate the incoming Christian jubilee year in a dignified manner. "We cannot and must not fail to remind of the human and religious duty to give to another what is theirs and to return to our patrimony. This was and remains a demand of God's law," read the message. The two dignitaries reminded of the fact that almost no Croats at all were returning to the Posavina area in northern Bosnia despite the fact that prior to the war they had plenty of riches there. "By calling on to you to return to your homes, to your patrimony and your homeland (...) we do not call on you to join any or anybody's human and certainly not inhuman plans. We as bishops (...) call on and encourage you, your own men in your own country, to stay true to the missive of God's children," the message, among else, said. (hina) ha
