VUKOVAR VUKOVAR, Oct 27 (Hina) - The Serb Orthodox Bishop of Baranja, Eparch Lukijan, on Thursday consecrated the reconstructed Orthodox church of St. Petka in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar. The consecration was done on the day
of this saint. He also consecrated relics of Prince Lazar, brought from Monastery of Ravanica, Kosovo, into this church in Vukovar. The relics will permanently stay in the St. Petka Church. This church was built in 1811, and now renovated by gifts of the congregation and other Orthodox believers, said Archpriest Jovan, thanking all benefactors who assisted the reconstruction of the church. Present at the liturgy was Marko Ceprnja, the head of the town's council, who voiced satisfaction with so a large number of believers who gathered at the celebration of "the holy day of this saint who advocated peace and love all her life."
