the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) about the electoral law
packet, the "Opposition Six" coordinator, Ivan Jakovcic, told

This "newest situation", Jakovcic explained, relates to statements
by the President of the Republic during talks with foreign
reporters in which he "vaguely answered to a question pertaining to
the recognition of electoral results".
"The presidents of six opposition parties hold it is irrelevant to
discuss the elements of the electoral legislature until the
President voices his opinion on the subject clearly, whether he and
his party will ensure fair and democratic elections, and whether
they will accept the electoral results, that is, allow parties or
coalitions of parties, which gain most votes in the elections, to
form a government," Jakovcic said.
The Opposition Six expect a reply by Wednesday at the latest, that
is, until the beginning of the Parliament House of Representatives
session, he stressed.
