ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - The President of Croatia's National Sabor, Vlatko Pavletic, on Tuesday conferred decorations on 80 eminent people from the political, public, business, cultural and scientific life. On the occasion of Statehood
Day, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman decided to award them. On behalf of President Tudjman, Pavletic told them that these decorations were given them for their work and contribution to the constitution of the Croatian State but this also bound them to continue with their engagement. He added that the Croatia was now expecting important events in which these decorated persons should do their best to help develop democracy and the rule of law, Pavletic said adding that Croatia's path should lead the country toward integration in the European Union and EuroAtlantic associations.
