Ilok grape harvest to be held from 27 Aug. to 4 Sept.

ILOK, Aug 15 (Hina) - Tourist events and fairs including the famous harvesting of wine grapes will be held in the easternmost Croatian town of Ilok from 27 August to 4 September, the local tourist committee, that is organising these events, has recently reported.

Tourists are invited to attend the traditional grape harvest during the 44th annual show called "Ilocka Berba" ("Ilok Vintage" in an unofficial translation).

A majority of entertainment events will take part in the medieval town centre on 2-4 September.

Ilok is well-known for wines, Traminac (Gewurztraminer), Grasevina (Riesling) and some other sorts, as well as for the delicious local cuisine.
