ZAGREB/CRIKVENICA, April 17 (Hina) - Baptist churches in Croatia on Saturday expressed dissatisfaction with the about-turn in the state policy towards non-Roman Catholic religious communities, protesting that their status has not been
regulated. A conference of the Alliance of Baptist Churches in Croatia, held in the northern Adriatic town of Crikvenica between April 15 and 17, re-elected Branko Lovrec its president. Pastor Toma Magda from Osijek was elected the Alliance's vice-president, Zeljko Mraz was re-elected secretary-general and Stevo Detera was elected the association's treasurer, the Baptist News Agency (IBA) reported. The elected leadership is a guarantee of continuation of the Alliance's activities, ecumenically opened towards other believers and churches, the agency reported.(hina) rml
