Monday's issue of Croatia's daily Republika read that at Saturday's
session of the HSLS Grand Council, Adlesic demanded the opening of
the issue of replacement of Croatian Television director Mirko
Galic. She said the reason for his replacement was Galic's
association with Europa Press Holding board president Ninoslav
Pavic. Pavic, the co-owner and chairman of the board of press
publisher Europa Press Holding, was arrested on Monday evening on
suspicion of association to gain control of the Croatian media.
Adlesic on Monday failed to comment on her request for the opening
of the issue of Galic's replacement. She told reporters on Monday
morning that she received Croatian Interior Minister Sime Lucin's
answer regarding last week's police operation against suspects in
the "GRUPO affair", adding that Lucin's response would be discussed
at tomorrow's session.
