ZAGREB, Nov 27 (Hina) - An investigating judge at the Zagreb County Court on Monday ruled one-month detention and ordered an investigation against thirteen persons arrested last week on suspicion of organised stealing and smuggling of
vehicles. After today's questioning, judge Mira Tecilazic-Basic ordered an investigation and detention for all, except for one suspect. One suspect is at large and an arrest warrant has been issued after him. At today's questioning some of the suspects stood mute and the others pleaded not guilty, the judge said. They are all charged with committing, assisting and covering up serious thefts, fraud, drug abuse and association with the aim of committing thefts. Of the 17 vehicles they stole, worth 1,385,000 kuna, some were smuggled and sold in neighbouring Bosnia-Hercegovina and six were recovered by the police.(hina) rml
