PRISTINA, Nov 23 (Hina) - International force in Kosovo (KFOR) on Thursday morning closed the border crossing near the village of Dobrosin, the municipality of Bujanovac, at the administrative border-line between Serbia and Kosovo.
The border crossing is within the security zone. KFOR troops did no let civilians pass the frontier from any side, and the barrier is set 50 metres of the KFOR check-point. The decision on closing the border was made last night, US forces officer William Thompson said on Thursday. It is still unknown how long the ban will be in effect. In the meantime all check-points in the valley of Preseva were closed. KFOR multinational troops in Sector East on Wednesday afternoon
arrested an Albanian truck driver trying to transport arms to
Dobrosin. KFOR representatives warned they would not allow that
violence be spread from Kosovo to the southern Serbia.
