24 November to 1 December. The base commander, Brigadier Vladimir Mikac, on Wednesday announced this manoeuvre called 'Free Skies' and told reporters this would be the third joint exercise of the HRZ and the US Navy. The goal of this event is to expand a security atmosphere and build confidence over this region in view of the fact that Croatia is investing great efforts to come closer to western European integration processes, he added. The HRZ coordinator of flight exercises, Colonel Marin Puh, said that about 30 flights would be performed daily during the manoeuvre and each flight would take some 40 minutes.(hina) ms
