The Zagreb mayor presented his guest with a painting by Vasilije
Jordan and the Vienna mayor gave Bandic a crystal bunch of grapes,
which, he said, was a symbol of the way of living in Vienna.
The signing of the agreement is the crown of the "Week of Vienna City
in Zagreb," an event which opened on November 6 and ends tomorrow
with a performance by the Wiener Opernball Orchestra at the
Croatian National Theatre.
The Zagreb mayor offered his condolences to the Vienna mayor
regarding today's cable-car disaster in the Austrian village of
Kaprun which claimed the lives of some 170 persons.
