SLAVONSKI BROD, Nov 2 (Hina) - The Croatian State Water Directorate on Thursday afternoon declared the third degree of pollution alert for the Sava River area near Slavonski Brod due to the river's being polluted by waste water from
the oil refinery at Bosanski Brod, in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The oil patch, about two kilometres long and some twenty metres wide, was spotted around 7.45 this morning by the Croatian border police about 30 metres from the Sava River bank.
