Reporter Thomas Vaterlaus and photographer Daniel Hoehn took a trip
of 4,000 kilometres in ten days during which they visited the
central Croatian town of Kutjevo, and the southern Adriatic islands
of Peljesac and Hvar.
According to their article, the "Vinum" journalists experienced
Kutjevo as the miracle of white vines. The headline of the article
speaks for itself: "Kutjevo, a white miracle". They were
particularly impressed with white wines made by Vlado Krauthaker
and Ivan Enjigi.
The "Vinum" reporters were also impressed by wine cellars on the
islands of Hvar and Peljesac. Their choice included wineries of
Mika Grgic in Trstenik and Fran Milos in Ponikve. They have also
tasted famous red wine "Dingac" made by Ivo Skaramuca. The two wine
experts also visited Zlatan Plenkovic's "Golden Island".
"Vinum" readers are not only gourmets and wine experts, but also
potential tourists. Therefore the magazine did a great favour to
the Croatian wine industry. After this article, some Croatian wine
makers are included in world's wine jet-set.
