ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - Croatia's President Stjepan Mesic on Thursday received a United States Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O'Connor, the President's Office said in a statement. Sandra Day O'Connor congratulated President Mesic
on his having won the Croatian presidential election and commended his pre-election campaign. She wished Croatia the best in its bids to enter the European Union and NATO. Mesic notified Mrs. O'Connor of the basic outlines of his and the Croatian Government's policies. At the meeting, United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor was accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Croatia, William Montgomery, and her aide, Mark Ellis.
