ZAGREB, July 12 (Hina) - Croatia's Defence Minister Jozo Rados and the State Inspectorate's chief inspector, Branko Jordanic, on Wednesday signed an agreement on the implementation of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Defence
and the State Inspectorate. The agreement will give the defence ministry wider civil control over the Armed Forces, said Rados. The defence ministry's supervision of the State Inspectorate will encompass all usual forms of control, such as supplying, goods' quality, prices, modes of payment. Jordanic said this working method would relieve the military budget for about 30 percent per year. The agreement will expand civilian supervision, while the Croatian army's inspectorate will retain its specifically military competence, said the defence minister.(hina) ha jn
