Mrvica alone performed works of Chopin, Kampf, Josipovic and Detoni
during the second one-hour-long part of the concert.
French music critics noticed the talent of this 25-year-old pianist
from the Croatian coastal town of Sibenik last year when he won the
first award at the fourth international contest "Nicolai
Rubinstein" in Paris.
Two years ago the Vienna-based Rotary Club conferred an award on
Mrvica who also got the Rector's award upon graduating from Zagreb
University.
