MOSTAR CROATS TO TURN THEMSELVES IN MOSTAR, May 17 (Hina) - The UN Mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday said it was worried by the failure of local police forces in Mostar to arrest five Mostar Croats, who are wanted by the
Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Court under suspicion of war crimes against civilians and prisoners of war, spokesman for the UN Office in Mostar, Stefo Lehmann, said on Wednesday. The Canton Court in Mostar indicted the five Croats in March this year, with the approval of the international war crimes tribunal in The Hague. Lehmann said the UN Mission believed it would be wise for the five Croats to turn themselves in and use the opportunity to defend themselves before the Canton Court. Asked whether the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) would help in the apprehension of the indictees, Lehmann said this was not necessary at the moment, although this possibility should not be excluded completely.(hina) mm rml
