ZAGREB, May 8 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic said Monday he would, during his visit to France on May 11 and 12, present Croatia's true, current policy and its opening towards Europe. "I expect that we (the Croatian delegation
travelling with Mesic) will present the true, current Croatian policy and Croatia's opening up towards Europe. We also expect Europe to open up towards Croatia, particularly France," Mesic told reporters Monday. France is insufficiently present in Croatia, Mesic asserted. It is insufficiently present with its capital and I hope the French will understand that we are a peaceful zone and that their capital needs to find its way towards Croatia, Mesic said. He expressed hope that France would support Croatia in its efforts to reduce the period of its joining the European Union, and NATO, but also to access the World Trade Organisation.(hina) lml
