ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - The possibility of Dubrovnik-Neretva County deputy prefect Pero Cvjetkovic's becoming the new manager of the Croatian Intelligence Service (HIS) is an as yet unofficial suggestion, Croatian President Stipe
Mesic said on Saturday. The President was asked by the press in Zagreb to comment on a suggestion by Drazen Budisa, the president of the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), that Cvjetkovic take the place of HIS manager Ozren Zunec. "I haven't talked with the HSLS candidate yet, but the suggestion may be entirely appropriate," the President said. Speaking about Zunec's resignation, President Mesic said he had not talked to Zunec since he forwarded his resignation to the President's Office, and that he did not know if Zunec had withdrawn his resignation.(hina) ha
