ZAGREB, April 17 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Monday received seven members of the association of families with eight or more children "8+" from Slavonski Brod Region, at their request, the President's Office reported.
Members of "8+" told the President they came at their own initiative and not as a delegation of the association. They informed Mesic of their request, namely to receive the mother-tutor status and explained that they were overcoming their difficulties with the help of a local priest, adding however the help was not sufficient for such big families. Mesic supported their request and said how the project of receiving the mother-tutor status was late because there were no implementation regulations. He also advised them to portray themselves as the association because it would be easier to overcome difficulties.(Hina) it
