ZAGREB, April 11 (Hina) - The average net salary in Croatia in January this year amounted to 3,191 kuna (about DM798), which is a nominal decrease of 2.2 percent and a real decrease of 3.2 percent in relation to the month before.
Compared to January last year, this year's January wages recorded a real increase of 4.3 percent, the State Institute for Statistics reported. The highest net wages in January were paid in air transport (5,217 kuna or DM1,300), tobacco industry (4,437 kuna), financial mediation, not including insurance and pension funds (4,435 kuna), public administration and defence, and obligatory social insurance (4,178 kuna). The lowest wages were paid in auxiliary operations in financial mediation (1,667 kuna) and leather processing (1,709 kuna).(hina) rml
