ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) - Croatian parliament president Zlatko Tomcic on Wednesday said he believes a decision on the formation of a council which will check the secrecy of data will be reached at the next House of Representatives
session. The council should include seven members, four MPs and three from the media. Tomcic believes the establishment of the council will help avoid situations which sometimes make both individuals and MPs doubt whether something represents data which bears a certain degree of secrecy, or not. In situations of that kind, we shall request the council to adjudicate, Tomcic told reporters following a meeting which initiated the establishment of the council. The initiative is based on the Data Secrecy Protection Law, which parliament adopted almost five years ago.(hina) ha mm
