ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - Croatia's Premier Ivica Racan on Tuesday held talks with a delegation of the American-Croatian Chamber of Commerce of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, about possibilities for investments in small and
medium-sized businesses in Croatia. During the meeting, Racan notified American businessmen of the Croatian descent about efforts which the new Croatian authorities are making in order to create conditions for speedier economic growth, read a statement issued by the Government. For this purpose, the Government is going to take measures, based on the principles of market economy, which can stir up the interest of international financial circles in investing in Croatia. The delegation's members showed great interest in faster legislative changes that can give impetus to the dynamic of investments in the Croatian economy. The Croat Americans invited Premier Racan to attend an economic
forum, organised by this Chamber, during his visit to the United
States.
Racan and his interlocutors agreed to strengthening the
cooperation of Croats from the Diaspora with the incumbent Croatian
Government.
