ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - The Zagreb-based soccer team in Croatia's first league again got name "Dinamo". Of 50 members of the team's assembly, 44 participated in Monday's voting on this issue and the result of the secret ballot was 43
in favour of renaming the club, previously known as "Croatia", into Dinamo. One ballot contained the proposal that the name should be "Dinamo Croatia".
ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - The Zagreb-based soccer team in Croatia's
first league again got name "Dinamo". Of 50 members of the team's
assembly, 44 participated in Monday's voting on this issue and the
result of the secret ballot was 43 in favour of renaming the club,
previously known as "Croatia", into Dinamo. One ballot contained
the proposal that the name should be "Dinamo Croatia".#L#
The sporting director, Velimir Zajec, announced this change to over
3,000 fans who gathered in front of the west stands of the club's
stadium in the Zagreb suburb of Maksimir awaiting eagerly the
outcome of the voting.
In the last nine years, the club from Maksimirska Street changed its
name three times. In June 1991 "Dinamo" was renamed into "HASK
Gradjanski", and two years later the assembly voted for the name
"Croatia". However, 3,156 days later the "blue" again have the name
"Dinamo".
