ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - The newly-appointed Croatian Culture Minister Antun Vujic said Friday after his taking office that he would advocate a more modern approach to culture. Vujic said during his first day at the Ministry he held a
working meeting with the former Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic and his closest associates. The meeting was useful and it focused on the difficulties and future work of the Ministry. I gained a favourable impression of people working closely with Biskupic, Vujic said. During a possible change of associates, a criterion will be expertise, because a high professional level of public officials is a guarantee for the good work of institutions, Vujic said. He added this meant that the work of public officials was irreconcilable with party duties.(hina) lml
