ZAGREB, Jan 25 (Hina) - Stipe Mesic, the candidate of the Croatian People's Party (HNS), supported by the "Four" political parties, in early Tuesday hours expressed satisfaction with first unofficial preliminary results of the presidential election, held on Monday. According to the results, announced after the midnight, Mesic was on the top with 42 percent of the vote, and he was followed by Drazen Budisa, the candidate of the SDP/HSLS coalition. These two contestants will run in the second round of the presidential election on February 7. Results were within expected forecasts, and I look forward the convincing victory of the run-off ballot, Mesic said thanking all who backed him.
