privatisation of the power sector in countries in transition and the European Union. Reforms in the power sector are aimed at establishing balance between the market and state interventions, he said. The forum has gathered a large number of domestic and foreign experts on energy production (from Austria, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland), who spoke about their experience in the liberalisation and privatisation of the power sector in their countries.
