LJUBLJANA, Nov 22 (Hina) - A summit of Central European Initiative's prime ministers in Trieste, Italy on Friday will be followed by a meeting of the premiers of Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, and Hungary, the so-called quadrilateral. The
meeting, according to the cabinet of Slovenia's Janez Drnovsek, has been initiated by Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi. The quadrilateral's meeting is an opportunity to review the work that has been done and the results. Italy expects the meeting will give new impetus to the cooperation among the four states in all areas of joint interest, Drnovsek's cabinet said in a statement on Thursday. The prime ministers will pay special attention to some topical issues, for instance combating organised crime, possibilities of stabilising Europe's Southeast, and strengthening regional cooperation.(hina) ha sb
