ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivica Racan said on Friday he
had not received even one concrete proposal for a personnel
government reshuffle, announcing the ruling five-party coalition
would resume talks on internal relations next week.
The leaders of the five parties met today to discuss what has to be
done to improve relations within and the performance of the
coalition in view of successfully completing the mandate, Racan
told reporters after the three-hour talks.
"We had a serious discussion in that direction and shall resume it
next week," said the PM.
Asked if demands for a personnel government reshuffle had been
made, Racan said he had been willing to hear each concrete idea and
proposal but that none were forthcoming. "If someone failed to do so
today, maybe they will next week," he said.
Asked if the talks addressed Drazen Budisa's candidacy for
president of the Social Liberals (HSLS), Racan said that was an
internal matter of the party. "It wouldn't be good if we got
involved in the campaign for the HSLS president," he added.
The PM confirmed he had received the HSLS proposal for Andro
Vlahusic as the new minister of health, adding he would probably
okay it.
